BLISSFUL EXPERIENCE BECKONS AT SUNFLOWERFEST That’s the promise from organisers of the leading alternative festival, Sunflowerfest, which boasts The Lighthouse Bliss Village (a mini festival within a festival), a chill out healing area for Mind, Body & Soul - bringing together the worlds of Yoga, Meditation, Kirtan, Conscious dance, Healing and Music...come nourish yourself & soul with 3 days of bliss and heaven on earth.

The Lighthouse Bliss Village is designed for visitors who want to simply enjoy the peace and tranquility of this little corner of Tubby’s Farm in Hillsborough from 22nd August to 25th August.

Relaxing and recharging your batteries couldn’t be easier in this magical place coordinated by Siobhan Bogues, founder of the Lighthouse Centre, Belfast.

Siobhan is passionate about ensuring that a full range of effective healing tools and practices are available to everyone in Ireland who wishes to use them to support deep healing and sustain a more joyful life.

She founded the Lighthouse Centre to create a welcoming, healing space, especially for those who may not normally seek out such support. Siobhan is delighted to bring the Lighthouse Centre magic to Hillsborough’s Sunflowerfest and says “We are thrilled to be part of Sunflowerfest again. The unique Lighthouse Bliss area will give festival goers a chance to chill out, try new therapies and gain some pearls of wisdom from a host of wellness experts. Our intention is that people will love their bliss experience in the festival healing and also take something away to bring some harmony to their lives outside the festival.”

“We have so many amazing therapists and practitioners offering everything from Chocolate Yoga to Indian head Massage, yoga and meditation, reiki , Thai Yoga massage, reflexology and lots more.”

Now in its fifth year, Sunflowerfest is one of the highlights of the festival season featuring a range of family-friendly activities as well as musical performances from international artists.

Event organizer Vanessa Magowan said, “As well as nurturing the mind, body and soul in the Lighthouse Bliss area, join us at the Pond Stage on the Boat for some healthy treats and drinks while listening to some blissful tunes and Open Mic sessions.”

“While back at the main arena we have music performances from County Down natives The Answer, London electronica group The Orb, and Lisburn up-and-comers Mojo Fury as well as some of Northern Ireland’s leading musicians,” added Vanessa.

“We want people to really relax on the farm and experience a truly alternative and experiential weekend. With Lighthouse Bliss, a fantastic musical line-up, a dedicated Kidz Zone, an art and craft village and screen in the trees outdoor cinema with popcorn, there really is something for everyone.”

Sunflowerfest kindly acknowledges the assistance of the Northern Ireland Tourist Board and Lisburn City Council in the production of this year’s event and welcomes SOS Bus NI as the festival’s official charity partner.
