The PANI Awards Clock is Ticking!

In advance of its glittering advertising and publicity industry awards ceremony in October this year, the Publicity Association of Northern Ireland (PANI) Chair Cathy Martin and PANI Awards Chair Lynne Doherty are encouraging agencies and corporates seeking to enter to meet the entry deadline of 10 August.

The PANI Awards Clock is Ticking! Since the PANI Awards launch back in April, the entries have been steady, but time is now starting to run out for those who haven’t submitted their campaigns and design work to win a prize at this prestigious event.

Lynne Doherty, PANI Awards Committee Chair and Managing Director of People Power NI said: “With only a few weeks to go until the closing date for entries for the PANI Awards 2014, we urge all agencies, freelancers and in-house marketing departments to get those entries uploaded ahead of the deadline of midnight on Sunday, 10 August.

This deadline is finite and if entries aren’t completed they will not be considered by our esteemed panel of judges. The next few months are an exciting time with judging commencing mid-August and shortlisted finalists announced from mid-September onwards as well as our fabulous gala awards night planned for Friday 17 October.”

Chair of PANI Cathy Martin said: “These are creative awards for the industry and they only happen every two years, so it’s vital to enter and get the recognition and celebration of excellence that our local work deserves. The campaign period for the 2014 awards is for those campaigns which have run between the periods: 01 November 2011 to 01 June 2014. We know that there are some amazing campaigns that our local agencies have designed, produced and executed over this period - so we’d like to encourage agencies to get them ready for entry!”

The thirteenth PANI Awards will be held on 17 October 2014 at Belfast City Hall and will be hosted by BBC presenter Colin Murray. They will offer an opportunity to recognise, celebrate and reward the best creativity in the industry, while also showcasing outstanding achievement on a national stage.

This year PANI is celebrating both the past and the future with the ‘Past, Present and Possibilities’ theme. Over the last 50 years the industry has changed vastly - almost beyond what might have even been considered possible in the 1950s - and the next fifty years are something that PANI can’t even begin to predict!

The awards are sponsored by Belfast Telegraph, Citybeat, Clear Channel, Downtown/Cool FM, Exterion Media, Irish News, JCDecaux, Mirror Media, UTV, U105 and WG Baird.
