Forget quotas for women on boards - let's get on with businessLord Davies calls for review of the selection criteria, stating that there should be a greater emphasis on a broader mix of skills and experience (not just financial and business and board experience). He describes the pipeline challenge, the brain drain of women between middle and senior management. And he reports that informal networks influential in board appointments, the lack of transparency around selection criteria and the way executive search firms operate, were together considered to be make up a significant barrier to women reaching boards. |
