After a cold start to 2011, the network is moving forward showing positive growth in memberships!  We are delighted to welcome 40 new members to Women in Business NI this year, increasing the network to over 380 members, so thank you for all your referrals.  I'm sure you will agree that it's great to be a part of an organization that's thriving and offering more and more valuable opportunities and support to its members.

The year began with our annual Voices Heard at Parliament Buildings in January, hosted by Anna Long MLA which proved a huge success.  The event provided the ideal forum for members to express their views on those Big Issues affecting business women today. And given the positive feedback, we believe the organization created the perfect environment for these issues to be raised and discussed in a constructive manner.  Also in January was the Deloitte Cashflow Management Masterclass and  our first Business Lunch of the year, which was kindly supported by Ten Square in Belfast, a popular venue indeed.

February was a busy month for events, starting with our joint networking event with Business in the Community at the iconic Belfast Harbour Commissioners 'Growth Through Mentoring', which was a very inspiring event and a resounding success.  This was followed by our Masterclass Big Headlines for Small Business at the Mid Town Business Centre and our Business Lunch at the very popular Merchant Hotel.

Coming up on March 8th is the International Women's Day Conference at the Lamon Hotel, this is a joint event with the IOD and we are delighted that it is now fully booked and our members are supporting this special day. Also, available is a member to member event organized by ASM Financial Planning on 15th March titled 'Tea for Two', below is further information on this event should you be interested to attend.  And finally,  if you haven't registered and wish to attend our joint networking event with NI Belfast Chamber of Commerce on the 24th March at the Europa Hotel, please do so soon as only a few places remain.

If you wish to join Women in Business NI or wish to discuss how you can exploit and maximize the opportunities your Women in Business NI membership offers, then why not come and have chat with me.  You are very welcome!

Best wishes
