Women in Business had a great result today when they hosted a joint networking event with the Northern Ireland Chamber of Commerce.
The event, supported by Invest Northern Ireland was held at the Grand Opera House and played host to over 120 companies. They participated in a networking lunch, a series of speed networking sessions and a networking masterclass, designed to create new business opportunities and relationships across both business networks.
Christine Boyle, Chair of Women in Business was delighted with the success of the event; 'It is even more essential during these times that women running their own businesses reach out for support and assistance. Women in Business offer members great opportunities to meet regularly, to network, to create business opportunities and to promote their own businesses and it was great to offer all that today along with members of the Chamber of Commerce. We are delighted that Women in Business, The Chamber of Commerce and Invest NI can work together in this way'.
Women in Business would welcome new members and guests to their events. Forthcoming events include a focus on innovative food companies at 'Food for Thought' and the summer networking event 'Virtual Golf / Real Networking'. More information and the 2009 event schedule can be found on their website www.womeninbusinessni.com
