The Department for Employment and Learning (DEL) is delighted to announce the launch of the next stage of its leadership and management campaign, Made Not Born. The 2010 / 2011 campaign, which showcases the Department's suite of Leadership and Management programmes.

Made Not Born has been designed with Northern Ireland's SMEs in mind, and aims to highlight the business benefits, such as improved productivity, business growth and greater staff participation, that can be achieved by deploying simple but highly effective management and leadership techniques.

DEL is once again working with some of the UK's leading management experts to bring the subject to life, helping to illustrate these benefits and the importance of improved management and leadership practices. These renowned speakers will provide real life, real time examples of the impact and types of results that can be leveraged by following dedicated management and leadership training and development programmes. This year's speakers will include local experts such as Gareth Dunlop, Managing Director of locally based internet marketing company ION and Will McKee of Linkubator. In addition, local SMEs will discuss with you the management and leadership benefits that they have been able to leverage as a result of their engagements with the Made Not Born campaign.

The Made Not Born campaign has had a very successful inaugural year and feedback received points to a highly effective and worthwhile first year of what DEL views as a key element to its long term management and leadership strategy for NI's SMEs. So why not join us this year at our roadshows and masterclasses – register now at:
