The advice was certainly right for business women across Northern Ireland when they attended the 2009 Business Advice Forum at Malone House on 26th May 2009.
The Women in Business Advice Forum, supported by Invest Northern Ireland focused on supporting female entrepreneurs with a whole range of business advice measures. Throughout the day a panel of business advisors and speakers from Northern Ireland's top companies and consultancies such as BT, Northern Bank, Manley's and Time Associates were on hand to meet with business women and discuss one-to-one, the key issues affecting their businesses. Advice was plentiful on such subjects as cashflow management, smart technology, recession busting sales, maximizing branding, public sector procurement and online marketing though Facebook, Myspace and Twitter!
Guests were amazed with the sheer volume of support available on the day. They couldn't believe that they could sit one-to-one with a range of consultants and hear up to six speakers, have lunch and still it was free of charge! Some businesses also had promotional stands on display making this is very positive small business development experience.
Christine Boyle Chair of Women in Business was delighted with the huge turn out and the quality and volume of guidance delivered on the day. She commented; 'Never has so much advice been available in the same place at the same time! Today we had in excess of 100 business owners meeting with 20 experts and advisors, along with 6 fabulous speakers who spoke on some very topical themes. The feedback has been fantastic and we are delighted through our support from Invest NI to have offered so much advice and guidance to so many businesses from all over Northern Ireland'
