Programmes complement the core work of Women in Business, giving our members the opportunity to access additional support and are an additional valuable benefit to our members.

Power of 4

Power of 4 is currently ongoing with a current cohort of 17 women excited to launch their own businesses. Power of 4 is a start-up programme, offering training, mentoring, role model support and help to build peer networks. We have a fantastic mix of women and business ideas, many with products they’d like to market. We are hopeful of offering further places on the programme in the spring.

Mentoring Programme

Our Mentoring Programme supports women in their own personal and professional development. We plan to offer places to a 4th cohort of members in the spring. Launched in October 2015, the programme has been hugely successful, facilitating over 60 mentoring relationships.

Mentoring is a developmental partnership between mentor and mentee. Mentors share their knowledge, skills, information, perspective and networks to support their mentee’s personal and professional development in a hugely rewarding relationship for both.

Your Voice

After the success of last year’s programme, Women in Business are pleased to relaunch Your Voice- a bespoke 2-day training course specially designed for Women in Business members and facilitated by Andrew Toogood, Founder & Principal of Proclaim Consulting.

Your Voice aims to develop exceptional presentation and communication skills and improve the performance of leaders, executives, owners & managers through a combination of learning and practical application. The purpose is simple: to build knowledge, skills & confidence in order that you can influence & create impact through exceptional communication and presentation.

Back in Business

This is a new Women in Business Programme to support female employees returning to work from Maternity Leave. It is a dynamic re-boarding programme that enables women to arrive back to their roles informed, energised and ready to influence and impact. The Programme will consist of 3 Networking Masterclasses and optional 1-2-1 Coaching sessions.

Grit and Grace

Grit and Grace is a female leadership programme for ambitious dynamic women wishing to reach their full potential and is delivered by the Queen’s University Leadership Institute. Leadership expert, Anne Philipson, aims to help you identify your leadership style, build your self-confidence and give you the skills to succeed.

The Connect Programme

Connect provides support to women who have been out of the workplace and are either hoping to start their own business or return to employmentand. The programme offers a continium of flexible support through half-day workshops and 1-2-1 mentoring in self-employment and employability.
