"I Don’t Know What to Say" – Dealing with Workplace Taboos

It is estimated that 1 in 10 employees are affected by a bereavement at any point in time in the workplace.

We still find it one of the most difficult subjects to talk about, even though it’s something we all go through at some time in our lives. It’s important to have open conversations about bereavement and other workplace taboos in the workplace so employees feel supported through difficult personal experiences. Legal Island's event, in association with CO3 Chief Officers 3rd Sector, “I Don’t Know What to Say” – Dealing with Workplace Taboos, will provides you with information & practical guidance on how to carry out sensitive conversations in your organisation and how to introduce relevant policies and procedures. This online event will also include guidance on the recently introduced Parental Bereavement Leave Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2022 and the Domestic Abuse (Safe Leave) Bill 2022 (awaiting Royal Assent) as well as case law developments for employers in dealing with women’s health and wellbeing, essential for recruiting and retaining top talent in your organisation. Learning will be further reinforced with exclusive access to Legal Island's Bereavement in the Workplace eLearning course and an additional live webinar, which will detail what the new Domestic Abuse Bill 2022 means for employers once it is published.
