Local Entrepreneurs celebrate Small Business Saturday!
As business owners across the country gear up to celebrate Small Business Saturday on 4th  December, local entrepreneur Louise Brogan of LinkedIn with Louise,  is leading efforts to encourage the public to support the campaign, and other small, independent firms in Northern Ireland to get involved.

Now in its ninth year in the UK Small Business Saturday is a grassroots, non-commercial campaign which celebrates small business success and encourages consumers to 'shop local' and to support businesses in their communities. This year it is calling on the nation to share a ‘big thank you’ with small firms to recognise their vital role throughout the pandemic.

Louise Brogan who started her business in 2013 is leading efforts to raise awareness of Small Business Saturday across NI , as a ‘Local Hero’ for the campaign.
Support from the public for small, independent firms is vital in Northern Ireland and across the UK, and is so appreciated as small firms get back on their feet,” said Louise.
“People have small businesses on their radar a lot more since the pandemic, and Small Business Saturday is a really positive and fun campaign for everyone to get involved with.”

On Small Business Saturday, customers across the UK go out and support all types of small businesses – everything from local independent shops and restaurants, to smaller service providers like accountants, personal trainers and dog groomers. Many small businesses take part in the day by hosting events and offering discounts.

Urging other local small businesses to get involved in Small Business Saturday, Louise went on to say:
“Small Business Saturday is really easy for small firms to get involved in, and a great way to engage customers. It is completely free and open to all small independents, many of whom collaborate with other local businesses on the campaign. Business owners can download marketing materials via the website and get involved in the conversation online using the hashtag #SmallBizSatUK.”

Last year Small Business Saturday achieved record-breaking success and saw an estimated £1.1 billion spent with small businesses across the UK on the day, according to estimates from the campaign’s principal supporter in the UK American Express.
