Fujitsu to begin pipelining new jobs after successful Open Evening
“The key to fostering creativity in any business is ensuring you have a diverse and inclusive team” explains Keelin Duddy, Fujitsu’s HR Service Desk Lead for the UK and Ireland.

Keelin’s comment comes on the back of Fujitsu’s recent Information Evening which saw more than 30 aspiring HR professionals join them at its North West office – home of the company’s HR Hub for the whole of the UK and Ireland – to learn more about HR roles with the leading ICT company.

Guests at the event included a mix of university students, new graduates and career movers as well as experienced HR professionals.

Attendees heard from Sarah Wadsworth, Head of HR Services at Fujitsu EMEIA, who spoke about the evolution of the sector and shared insight into the transferable skills needed to succeed in the industry such as the ability to manage people, build relationships, and deal with ambiguity in a challenging and dynamic environment.

Speaking about the event and scale of opportunity, Keelin Duddy, Fujitsu’s HR Service Desk Lead for the UK and Ireland, added:
“Fujitsu aims to expand its HR functions in Northern Ireland to bring greater diversity and inclusion to the business.

Having grown from a team of zero to 60 over the past 5 years, we are aware that the City is a great talent base and we are delighted with the new interest shown by local students, graduates and professionals in the area. We now have a better understanding of the local talent pipeline which will help shape any additional roles we plan to create.”

“As a business we’re committed to our HR operations in the City and is continually reviewing opportunities for expansion and diversification. Our Northern Ireland HR Hub has the added attraction of being spearheaded by four highly experienced women who are not just at the forefront of HR policy but also Fujitsu’s diversity agenda.”

The open evening is the first in a series of information events that will be held in the City by Fujitsu as it looks to expand its recruitment opportunities.

With a number of roles currently open for application, those interested in learning more about HR roles within Fujitsu are encouraged to send their CV to EMEIArecruitment@uk.fujitsu.com for further consideration.
