Endeavour celebrates Investors in People success

Pictured with Minister for Employment and Learning Danny Kennedy are Blaithin and Lee Surgeoner from Endeavour Information Solutions in Belfast.

Speaking at the Investors in People celebration event at Hillsborough Castle where thirty seven businesses from across Northern Ireland received the prestigious award, the Minister said:

"Today is not just about the right to display a plaque on the wall, although that public statement is in itself important. The real cause for celebration is the improvements in the organisations that have achieved IiP status - improvements brought about as a result of hard work and commitment in effectively managing and developing their most important asset - people. The importance of organisations investing in their people is essential in this difficult economic climate. After all, it is the people we employ that will get us through challenging times. It is their commitment and skills that will make the difference."

Blaithin who joined Women in Business recently, agreed with the Minister's comments:

"Attaining this standard has been one of our primary objectives since the business started a year ago and continues to show our commitment not only to our team but also to our clients in terms of the quality-driven approach we strive to achieve within all areas of the organisation. Our business provides IT solutions using Microsoft technologies such as SharePoint and Office as well as providing bespoke software solutions and hardware support.  We pride ourselves on our service level which we can only achieve as a team. I would recommend Investors in People to all businesses as a great method of identifying ways of improving performance and winning new business. The Investors in People framework can be geared to ensure that any business gets the best results against their business plan and strategic objectives. We see our recognition as an Investor in People as part of our process of continuous improvement."

Endeavour was established in 2009 and the business has been growing since then. Blaithin joined her husband Lee in the business in April 2010 after practising as a chartered accountant for over 20 years and has attained numerous Microsoft certifications specialising in SharePoint and software development.
