Little Women's Yoga for Kids: GLow with the FLOW

Little Women's Yoga for Kids: GLow with the FLOW

Little Women is delighted to introduce a uniquely designed yoga masterclass for girls.

In collaboration with Flow Yoga Studio Belfast, Little Women NI will offer young girls aged between 7-11 the opportunity to calm their mind, relieve their stress, forget about their worries and channel their crazy energy into something calming and productive.

Whether your daughter suffers from anxiety at school over her studies (e.g. exams and AQE), finds it difficult to focus on one task at a time or simply has an abundance of energy that needs put to good use, this is the class for her!

This session will be delivered by Katie Harte, Children's Yoga Teacher at Flow Studio.  Katie will set the scene for the girls before guiding them through a series of activities that have been designed to bring calm, build strength and promote physical and mental health and well-being.

This is a class for children of all abilities.  It will be fun and fluid, all the while introducing the girls to a way that they can learn to focus their energies, take time out for themselves and build confidence through learning a new skill.

About Katie

Originally from Dublin and now living in Belfast, Katie began practicing yoga 15 years ago to compliment her ballet training.  She found it a wonderful outlet for stress and of huge benefit for her strength and flexibility.  She has worked hard to maintain this good foundation in health and well being through her adult life and is currently building on her background in science and biomechanics in regards to yoga anatomy.

Growing up with her mother running a nursery school from home, she was constantly surrounded by children so it was very natural for her to train as a childcare professional and work in the childcare industry.  With two young children of her own Katie became interested in getting them involved in yoga which led her to train as a children's yoga teacher with the British School of Yoga. She finds it of huge benefit for her children in regards to their health and confidence.  She is passionate about teaching children in a fun and accessible way and believes it is the perfect way to create life long habits of being body and mind aware.
