First Steps for Propel Entrepreneurs
Invest Northern Ireland’s Propel Programme has announced its biggest response to date, with over 130 budding entrepreneurs applying for a place on the intensive programme. Aiming to cultivate high-growth, export intensive businesses within 12 months, Propel provides candidates with an invaluable range of practical business support mechanisms including expert mentoring, networking opportunities and personal financial support. Having been whittled down to the 45 best business ideas spanning sectors including retail, fashion, agriculture and technology, Phase one of the programme launched this weekend at a workshop led by Raomal Perera, serial entrepreneur and co-founder of two highly successful technology companies

In the last three years the programme has helped over 30 new local companies to develop their products and business plans, enter new markets and gain over £3m investment. Between them, they are already employing over 50 people and have ambitious future growth plans.
