EmpowerHer is a transfomative, career growth programme which has been specifically designed based on the feedback from our members, for ambitious young women who want support with personal and professional growth, self-confidence, and self-empowerment. During this 1-day in-person programme, delegates will learn more about their values, effective communication skills, strategic career planning, building a strong personal brand, overcoming obstacles like imposter moments, and developing assertiveness and negotiation skills. 

This bespoke training provides an opportunity for delegates to connect, learn and share experiences with other professionals across different sectors through group discussion and self-reflective exercises. During the course of the day participants will gain the knowledge and tools needed to navigate their personal and professional journeys with confidence, resilience, and a strong sense of purpose. EmpowerHer is a programme that empowers young women to unlock their full potential and build their profile for progression and enhance their career.

 

What Can you expect?

Module 1: Exploring your personal motivations, values and aspirations
  • "Starting with Why" and its relevance to career development. 
  • Identify and articulate your personal values and motivations.
  • Understanding your personal and professional brand.
Module 2: Develop effective communication and active listening so you can understanding how to build relationships, ‘be heard’ and ask the right questions
• Communication styles and their impact on professional interactions.
• Identify your own communication style.
• Active listening techniques and its importance when building relationships.
• How to ‘be heard’ and ask the right questions.
Module 3: Create a career plan and strategically vision your long-term goals, developing your personal brand aligned to your aspirations
• Identifying personal and professional goals. 
• Introduction to strategic career planning frameworks.
• Crafting a personal brand statement.
• Peer feedback and group discussions to refine personal brands.
Module 4: Leave with strategies and tools to help overcome imposter moments and be empowered to advocate for yourselves in your careers through assertiveness and negotiation skills training
• Understanding imposter syndrome: its causes and effects.
• Techniques and strategies to overcome imposter syndrome.
• Assertiveness and negotiation skills training.
