Women in Business can help to build your future through the Make Money For Yourself Programme

This free 7 week programme is for women who are not currently in employment - supporting you on how to make money by turning your creative ideas into a small business.

If you're interested in starting your own venture or to earn income from your hobbies, this programme will be perfect for you. Through group and individual learning, experienced business owners will take you through mini 'Boss for a day' workshops on every aspect of developing a business idea:

  • Gain the skills to make money
  • Create a business idea
  • Understand marketing & selling
  • Learn how to manage your income
  • Get to grips with the legal side of business
  • Connect with local business owners

There may also be the opportunity to avail of childcare support.

The programme will take place at Women's Tec Belfast: 29 Chichester Avenue, BT15 5EH over a 7 week period in Autumn 2023:

  2. Tuesday 24th October | 10.00am - 1.00pm
  3. Tuesday 7th November | 10.00am - 1.00pm
  4. Tuesday 14th November | 10.00am - 1.00pm
  5. Tuesday 21st November | 10.00am - 1.00pm
  6. Tuesday 28th November | 10.00am - 1.00pm
  7. Tuesday 5th December | 10.00am - 1.00pm

Workshops will take place throughout Autumn 2023 at Women's Tec Belfast: 29 Chichester Avenue, BT15 5EH. Join us to discover your potential to become become self employed. You will learn:

  • How to gain the skills of a business owner
  • How to understand the customer
  • How to fill gaps in the market by creating business ideas that solve problems
  • Local success stories from inspirational business owners
Who is this programme for?
1. This programme aims to support women that are currently not in employment or training/ education.
It is important to note that people may move between different employment circumstances throughout life - everyone's story is unique to them.
You could be:
 
  • On a career break
  • Rurally isolated
  • Carrying out a valuable caring role
  • Have a Long term illness or disabilities
  • Lacking in confidence due to life circumstances or education
2. This programme is targeted, but not limited, towards women who live in the greater Belfast area or rural areas in Newry, Mourne and Down council area.

3. Essential criteria includes:
 
  • You must be over 18 years of age
  • You must be a resident of Northern Ireland
  • You must not currently be in employment
