The Northern Ireland Women in Tech Awards recognise and celebrate Women who innovate, challenge and embrace technology. This year’s event will take place on Friday 19th June at the Europa Hotel.

Sponsored by VANRATH, the annual event welcomes over 300 guests from across NI’s thriving tech sector for a gala evening to showcase the sector’s best-in-class and their continued positive impact on the local economy.

2026 Award Categories

Outstanding Apprentice

Recognising an outstanding woman currently undertaking any type of apprenticeship programme in the NI tech sector, demonstrating exemplary effort, commitment and achievement.

One to Watch in the Future

A woman under the age of 35, or who turns 35 in 2026, who has progressed rapidly though her career and delivered real business value and innovation through the use of technology.

Entrepreneur of the Year

A female leader or founder of a technology, digital or e-commerce start-up that has demonstrated excellent growth in the last 12 months.

Tech Advocate of the Year

A woman working in tech who has setup and delivered initiatives, outside of their formal role, internally and externally to their organisation to support women and encourage more women into tech in the last 12 months.

Male Advocate of the Year

A senior male figure who has gone out of his way to increase diversity and promote women in tech, within their organisation and/or in the wider community.

New Category on the way!

Tech Team of the Year

A Tech team, led by a woman, that has delivered innovative and business transformation solutions to a company.

Digital Transformation Leader of the Year

A female chief digital officer, digital director or leader of a digital transformation who has led an IT/digital transformation or business change programme driven by technology in the last 12 months.

C Level Woman of the Year

A C level woman in a tech business, who has demonstrated outstanding leadership and innovation.

Outstanding Woman in Tech

Recognising an outstanding leader in the tech sector. The winner of this award will be chosen by the judging panel. Therefore, it will not have an option for nomination/ entry.

Terms & Conditions
•    Entrants must be based and have an office located in Northern Ireland.
•    Please ensure nominees are available on Thursday 22nd May 2025 for the Awards Gala.
•    An online entry form will need to be completed for each entrant. The information provided will be disclosed only to the judges. Do not send any other documents / supporting materials as these will not be accepted.
•    There will be one winner per category (unless otherwise stated).
•    The judges’ decision will be final, and no correspondence will be entered into before or after the judging. All decisions regarding the judging process are made by our judging panel.
•    Details provided in the entry form will potentially be used, with approval, for press releases and web content if the nominee is placed as a finalist or winner, so please ensure it is factually correct - we will not be liable for inaccuracies published based on nomination content and changes may not be possible after publication.
•    Applications that do not meet the entry criteria will not be accepted.
•    Entrants can nominate themselves or be nominated by someone else.
•    Entrants can apply for more than one category but must submit a full online entry each time i.e. one category per entry.
•    Please complete the online entry process by no later than 17:00 on Thursday 3rd April.

Recognition as a Women in Tech award finalist and winner holds great prestige. You can benefit from increased media coverage and profiling, offering unique business opportunities that can help to drive your business forward. All finalists will join the Women in Tech Award Finalist Alumnae – a group specially created to offer all finalists the opportunity to network with like-minded businesswomen and to stimulate opportunity for both personal and professional development.
 
All winners will also have the opportunity to take part in an exclusive Winners Lunch, where they will come together to be inspired by a range of speakers and network with their peers. More details will be unveiled in the coming months.
