Award Categories

Awards submissions are now closed and shortlisted finalists will be announced on Monday 15th April 2024.

C Level Woman of the Year

A C level woman in a tech business, who has demonstrated outstanding leadership and innovation.

Digital Transformation Leader of the Year

A female chief digital officer, digital director or leader of a digital transformation who has led an IT/digital transformation or business change programme driven by technology in the last 12 months.

Entrepreneur of the Year

A female leader or founder of a technology, digital or e-commerce start-up that has demonstrated excellent growth in the last 12 months.

Tech Team of the Year

A Tech team, led by a woman, that has delivered innovative and business transformation solutions to a company.

One to Watch in the Future

A woman under the age of 35, or who turns 35 in 2024, who has progressed rapidly though her career and delivered real business value and innovation through the use of technology.

Green Impact Award

A woman who has worked to ensure that sustainability is at the very core of their business through development and/or delivery of a product or service that is making a positive impact with regard to net zero and climate change.

Tech Advocate of the Year

A woman working in tech who has setup and delivered initiatives, outside of their formal role, internally and externally to their organisation to support women and encourage more women into tech in the last 12 months.

Male Advocate of the Year

A senior male figure who has gone out of his way to increase diversity and promote women in tech, within their organisation and/or in the wider community.

Outstanding Apprentice

Recognising an outstanding woman currently undertaking any type of apprenticeship programme in the NI tech sector, demonstrating exemplary effort, commitment and achievement.

Outstanding Woman in Tech

Recognising an outstanding leader in the tech sector. The winner of this award will be chosen by the judging panel. Therefore, it will not have an option for nomination/ entry.
Dates you need to know
  • Closing Date for Award Submissions | 12 noon on Monday 8 April 2024.
  • Judging day | Thursday 11th April.
  • Finalists Announced | Monday 15 April 2024.
  • Awards Gala | Thursday 23 May 2024.
Terms & Conditions
•    Entrants must be based and have an office located in Northern Ireland.
•    Please ensure nominees are available on Thursday 23rd May 2024 for the Awards Gala.
•    An online entry form will need to be completed for each entrant. The information provided will be disclosed only to the judges. Do not send any other documents / supporting materials as these will not be accepted.
•    There will be one winner per category (unless otherwise stated).
•    The judges’ decision will be final, and no correspondence will be entered into before or after the judging. All decisions regarding the judging process are made by our judging panel.
•    Details provided in the entry form will potentially be used, with approval, for press releases and web content if the nominee is placed as a finalist or winner, so please ensure it is factually correct - we will not be liable for inaccuracies published based on nomination content and changes may not be possible after publication.
•    Applications that do not meet the entry criteria will not be accepted.
•    Entrants can nominate themselves or be nominated by someone else.
•    Entrants can apply for more than one category but must submit a full online entry each time i.e. one category per entry.
•    Please complete the online entry process by no later than 12 noon on Monday 8 April 2024.

Recognition as a Women in Tech award finalist and winner holds great prestige. You can benefit from increased media coverage and profiling, offering unique business opportunities that can help to drive your business forward. All finalists will join the Women in Tech Award Finalist Alumnae – a group specially created to offer all finalists the opportunity to network with like-minded businesswomen and to stimulate opportunity for both personal and professional development.
 
All winners will also have the opportunity to take part in an exclusive Winners Lunch, where they will come together to be inspired by a range of speakers and network with their peers. More details will be unveiled in the coming months.
