We have nine programmes that we offer in total that cover a whole range of areas and two are bespoke to start ups. Here are a few of programmes that we think are perfect to help you with your personal development and to take your business to the next step:
Power of 4 Programme.
This is a free programme for members to avail of and is exclusively for business start-ups or early stage trading. It includes 4 full training days, each delivered by a specialist self-employed consultant/trainer, incorporating specialist speakers; 4 evening sessions facilitated with the support of 4 role model mentors; 4 x 121 mentoring sessions delivered by a business mentor. The Connect Programme.
This free programme is designed to support women, who are not currently working or working/ studying fewer than 16 hours per week, whether they want to return to work or start a business.
Connect is designed in a way that lets you access the support you need, as and when you need it. You can access a many or as little of the programme activities as you wish, fitting around your commitments. You can access ongoing workshops, training, 1-2-1 support and resources at any time. Mentoring is a developmental partnership through which the Mentor shares knowledge, skills, information, perspective and networks to support the Mentee in personal, professional and/or business development. It is a partnership between two people, often working in a related profession/sector and is a relationship based upon trust and respect. Women in Business is delighted to offer this programme, promoting a core aim of the organisation through supporting women at all stages of their career and business development. Is a fabulous programme to help with your presentation skills, brilliant for the grant pitches and pitching for product placement. Click on the link.
We host monthly networking events which are free to members and have a plethora of workshops and masterclasses to help with all aspects of your business e.g. Social media, digital marketing, presenting the perfect pitch, early business growth etc. The events are a great opportunity to raise awareness and showcase your services or products.
Annual & Ongoing Events
Come along and join us at the Entrepreneurial Conference and meet lots of people who were once in your shoes and lots of people who still are. Hear from those that have made a great leap, have lots of amazing learning and are still on the journey. Be inspired!

Women in Business Awards
It's a great spectacle to celebrate, reward and acknowledge the hard work and achievements of some of the most successful, entrepreneurial and inspiring business women throughout Northern Ireland. The annual Awards allow all sectors and industries to come together for an evening of celebration to recognise the best of home grown talent and the valuable contribution that women make to the economic life of Northern Ireland.
Here is how this year's event went.
Spotlight on Success Series.
This is a lunchtime networking speaker series. Each Spotlight lunch has two speakers who are at the top of their profession or are a successful business owner. The lunches run from 12-2pm, includes a two-course meal and great networking opportunity in exclusive company. £25 + VAT for members. These events are quite intimate which maximises the opportunity for really effective networking.
All these events are to provide you with an opportunity to grow your network, to upskill, learn new things and to be inspired. We have only the best speakers at these events, and your take home nuggets will be gold.
Get out there and spread the word about your product or service; make connections; see who you can help and who can help you. There is a wealth of knowledge in this network and they are a really supportive group.
We have at least one free networking event every month and lots of other opportunities beside.
Promoting you and your company
We have lots of ways to promote you and your new business. As a new member, you are invited to write a profile piece to introduce yourself to the membership on our Member’s Monday. We have our monthly ezine where you can submit news for free and Women in Business has a Tuesday Guest blog and a bi-annual magazine which you can contribute to too.
When you feel the time is right you can send your profile (250 words + profile pic) to us to post out on social media to our 19K followers to introduce yourself to the network.
When you have news to shout about – launch date, new premises etc send this information to us and we’ll put it on our members’ news section of the ezine to 8K people.

There is also a chance to write a blog on our guest blog site.
Engage on Social Media
See what other people are posting, find like-minded individuals, seek out members who are going through the same thing, ask them for a cup of coffee. Two heads are better than one!
Membership is only £35 per year if you sign up by Direct Debit. If you require to pay by invoice membership is £50.
