Guest Speaker:

Colette Leeson

Colette Leeson

Interview & Career Coach

Colette Leeson is an experienced Interview and Career Coach with a background spanning nearly four decades in the Civil Service, alongside extensive experience in HR and organisational consultancy. Her career took a pivotal turn following a series of life events — including caring for her mother with dementia, navigating the impact of COVID, and her husband’s heart attack — which led her to reassess her values and ultimately step away from a long-established career to build a business with purpose. Today, Colette works with corporate and private clients, including Timely Careers and the Centre of Learning (part of The WiB Group), delivering career coaching, interview preparation, and employability programmes. She supports individuals at all stages — from students and professionals to women returning to work — helping them build confidence, articulate their value, and secure roles that truly fit. Known for her practical, honest approach, Colette combines deep insight into recruitment and selection processes with a strong focus on confidence, resilience, and personal growth. Her work is grounded in real-world experience and a genuine belief that it is never too late to change direction and create a career that aligns with who you are now.
