Women in Business in collaboration with CDE Group are delighted to bring you, Women in Manufacturing Connect!
Building on our Women in Industry Round Tables, we welcome all Women in STEM to join us for this in-person networking to discuss the current topics, challenges, and upcoming developments in their world of work.
Whether you are onsite or behind the desk in the STEM, Manufacturing, Construction, Engineering sector or beyond, take the opportunity to meet other women in your industry. Share in other women’s experiences, support and ask those questions on your mind!
Here's what we have lined up:
After working in Business Development with a world leading manufacturer of business jets, Amy became a Business Analyst at CDE and later became the first female Project Manager within the company. After that, Amy became Head of Business Improvement before being promoted to her current post as Director of Construction. Amy continues to excel within CDE and regularly provides insight into how to stay grounded, empowered and confident in male-dominated industries. Her backgrounds in both Engineering and Accountancy have made her perfectly placed to lead the charge as CDE's Director of Construction.
44 yr old mum of 2, I have been working in the building merchant’s industry for 27 years, my background is predominately in the Ironmongery side of the business. I have worked for JP Corry for the past 3 years and now specialise in doors/door sets ranging from one off Doors to Multi-storey buildings. In my spare time I like to practice in Holistic Therapies.
Rachel has held cross-functional senior management roles in the engineering and manufacturing sector for over 15 years, including Marketing & Business Development, HR, and HSQE, leading on significant and award-winning business transformation initiatives that have enabled SMEs to double turnover and employee numbers in just two years. In 2023, she completed an MSc in Executive Leadership at Ulster University, with a focus on female leadership, resulting in the development of the CreatingSPACE™ Framework; an organisational tool to help businesses identify and address barriers to female recruitment, retention, and progression. Rachel has been Managing Director of a tech start-up and Non-Executive Director in the third sector, and is now Summit Director at Manufacturing NI and Founder of Inspired Business Consultancy, specialising in delivering impactful social value, collaborative network facilitation, and business strategy, transformation, and growth.
