As part of our Women in Industry Round Tables, we welcome all Women in STEM to join us for a virtual forum to discuss the current topics, challenges, and upcoming developments in their world of work.

Our online roundtable events are in collaboration with Vaughan Chartered Accountants. This is a live networking event and will not be recorded.

Senior Associate A&L Goodbody

Ruth is a senior associate in A&L Goodbody’s Energy team in Belfast. Ruth specialises in the land law and planning/environmental aspects of clean energy projects. Ruth acts exclusively for clean energy developers specialising in site assembly and land strategy for energy and infrastructure projects, including on-shore wind, solar, anaerobic digestion and energy storage. Ruth’s expertise includes negotiating complex contracts, managing risk, and ensuring compliance with regulations. In addition to her role as a senior energy lawyer, Ruth is dedicated to promoting diversity and inclusion in the renewable energy sector. She has twice chaired the panel discussion at Northern Ireland’s only “Women In Renewables” event in conjunction with Renewable NI and continues to be actively involved as a table chair. Ruth also holds a OCN Level 2 mentoring qualification from Belfast Metropolitan College following participation in the pilot scheme of Renewable NI’s Women In Renewables Mentoring Scheme in 2025.
