Ciara Hughes is a graduate of Ulster University with a degree in Communication Management and Public Relations. With a background in sales and customer service, she brings strong interpersonal skills and a talent for building meaningful professional relationships. As Events Manager, Ciara leads the planning, marketing and delivery of monthly member events, ensuring engaging and impactful experiences for all attendees, as well as managing key parnerships She also serves as the Lead for the Women in Business Young Women’s Network, where she champions opportunities for young women to connect, grow and achieve their full potential. Driven by a deep commitment to supporting women, she is especially focused on helping others thrive in their careers or build their own successful businesses.

I studied Business Studies at the University of Ulster, where I balanced my academic studies with working in hospitality. The fast-paced, people-focused nature of hospitality helped develop the communication, relationship-building and customer service skills that would later form the foundation of my career in recruitment. After graduating, I moved straight into recruitment and have since gained experience across both agency and internal hiring environments. Throughout my career, I have been passionate about connecting talented people with the right opportunities while helping businesses grow. Having completed my CIPD qualifications, I now work at MCS Group in a split role across HR and Internal Recruitment. My role allows me to combine my passion for people, talent acquisition and employee experience while supporting organisational growth.
