Thursday 10 July 2025

Over 400 Organisations Commit to Neuroinclusion with Autism NI’s Impact Award Autism NI has announced a major milestone in its mission to build neuro-inclusive environments, with over 400 organisations across Northern Ireland, Ireland and the UK now signed up for its prestigious Impact Award programme.

The Impact Award supports businesses and public bodies in creating inclusive services and workplaces for autistic and neurodivergent individuals. Through tailored training and ongoing, step-by-step support, participating organisations are equipped to better understand and meet the needs of neurodivergent customers, clients and employees.

Christine Kearney, Director of Development at Autism NI, said, “We are thrilled to see such a strong commitment from organisations across sectors. This programme is not just about training—it’s about embedding real, sustainable change that makes a difference in people’s lives.”

Recent recipients of the award include NIE Networks, the Northern Ireland Assembly Commission, and Danske Bank, each recognised for implementing inclusive practices such as sensory-friendly spaces, accessible communication strategies, and inclusive recruitment processes.

The growing uptake of the Impact Award reflects a broader cultural shift toward inclusivity and accessibility in Northern Ireland’s workplaces and services, as Autism NI continues their work to build an inclusive society.
