Sarah Primrose named among Top 100 Most Influential Women in Construction and awarded Local Hero Awards celebrate women driving change and greater representation across the construction industry
Sarah Primrose, Principal Legal Counsel at GRAHAM, has been named in the Top 100 Most Influential Women in Construction 2025 list and was awarded Local Hero – Northern Ireland at the ceremony organised by CITB and Friel.

The awards celebrate women making an outstanding contribution across the UK construction industry and highlight both individual impact and collective progress towards diversity, equity and inclusion.

A qualified solicitor in Northern Ireland, England & Wales, and Ireland, Sarah has more than a decade of experience advising on complex construction and infrastructure projects. She is also a qualified mediator and a NEC4 ECC Accredited Project Manager, combining technical expertise with a commercially pragmatic approach.

Sarah was recognised for her role in championing equity, flexibility, wellbeing and inclusion within the sector. She has used her platform to open up conversations often overlooked in construction — including pregnancy and baby loss, maternal mental health, flexibility and menopause — and to highlight how workplaces can better support women at every stage of their careers.

Alongside her role at GRAHAM, she contributes to industry groups including the JCT Young Professionals Group, delivers training and knowledge-sharing across her business unit, and is a qualified mental health first aider.

Sarah commented:
“Visibility matters. These awards put important issues front and centre if we are to build a construction industry that truly works for everyone. It was an honour to be named among the Top 100 women influencing change — and a lovely bonus to bring home a trophy too.”
