Women Techmakers’ Summit 2016

Riddel Hall, Stranmillis Road, Queen’s University Belfast
Wednesday 6 April,  6-9pm
£6.50

A summit event organised by Claire Burn, who is a Queen’s student and the Belfast Women Techmakers’ leader, in conjunction with the Belfast Google Developer Group and Google, will bring together women working locally within the broad technology industry.

Women Techmakers is Google’s brand and global program for women in technology. It is an initiative that aims to raise awareness of innovative female leaders in technology and inspire others to join the field. It does this through raising the visibility of women in tech, through online community-building, and through providing resources to support women develop their technical skillsets. The focus of WTM is on both local events, and higher-level resources and global community building.

Anyone can attend - from students within STEM, to veterans of the technology industry, and everyone in between. Both males and females are encouraged to attend, as this is about equality, and letting brilliant women within the industry be more visible. With a great line up of inspirational speakers and panel discussions, the evening will offer a great networking opportunity, as well as refreshments.

There is a small charge to sign up for this exciting event online at:  https://www.eventbrite.ie/e/women-techmakers-belfast-summit-tickets-22401272810
