Allstate NI partner with CyberFirst to help young people explore their passion for tech

The National Cyber Security Centre recently launched the CyberFirst Bursary and Degree Apprenticeship schemes.  Our Key Partners at Allstate Northern Ireland are truly focused on developing the next generation of cybersecurity talent and have partnered with CyberFirst to help young people explore their passion for tech by introducing them to the world of cybersecurity. Throughout the summer, there was a 60% rise in girls applying to National Cyber Security Centre’s CyberFirst summer courses, designed to encourage interest and improve diversity in the cyber security sector

Both of the Bursary and Degree Apprenticeship schemes provide a fantastic opportunity for talented young people to learn more about cyber security and be financially supported either through a £4k a year Bursary for University students or a £20k a year salary on the Degree Apprenticeship.

Applications are now open for the September 2021 intake, please click here to learn more.

You can also visit the CyberFirstCareers landing page, where students can find short videos and a series of podcasts to learn more, with our WIB Board Member, Keith Lippert, Allstate VP and Deputy CISO is featured in the podcasts!
