Hospitality and Tourism Recovery Training Programme
The Hospitality and Tourism Recovery Programme, launched in April, continues to provide a skills-led approach to supporting managers as they move through the pandemic restrictions into recovery ahead.

Funded by the Department for the Economy and delivered in partnership across the six Further Education Colleges in Northern Ireland, the FREE programme helps address the key challenges this sector faces.
The Management Spotlight series, ran as four webinars, providing over 250 managers with engaging content and discussion from industry experts, focusing on Skills Support; Attraction and Retention of Staff; Building Resilience; and the Changing Customer Service Needs.  Don’t worry if you missed out, you have the opportunity to watch again now via the Programme webpage.

The Technical Skills Series of masterclasses kicked off on 6th May, promoting skills development in AR and VR Technologies, and Podcasting for the Tourism industry.  Interactive specialist Hospitality masterclasses in Butchery, Baking and Patisserie, Poultry, Chocolatier and Cocktail Making continue over the coming weeks.
The ILM/CMI Level 3 Award in Leadership and Management has a specific focus on the required skills to boost recovery, as identified by sector representatives within the Hospitality and Tourism industry. The ILM/CMI Level 3 Leadership and Management courses are being delivered online across all NI Colleges, with places still available for eligible organisations.

Managers of all levels are encouraged to choose from the menu of free virtual support programmes on offer. The Management Spotlight Series and a selection of the Technical Skills Series are available to watch again on the programme website, enabling managers to gain skills and knowledge at a time that is most convenient for them.
