Ulster Bank- Back Her Business Programme
Ulster Bank are delighted to share with you the launch of our new programme, Back Her Business.  It aims to help narrow the UK business gender gap in entrepreneurship by removing many of the known barriers women face as highlighted in the recent RoseReview.

We’ve developed Back Her Business in partnership with Crowdfunder, and together we will deliver the first female only crowdfunding programme, enabling ‘would be’ entrepreneurs across the UK to test, validate and fund their business ideas.  Although most of the funding will come from ‘the crowd’, the bank will provide annual top-up funding of £1 million, offering up to 50% of an entrepreneur’s fundraising target (capped at £5,000) for selected projects.

Back Her Business will also provide important wrap around support through bespoke training and coaching, networking opportunities and local events.

From Monday 18th March, women will be able to register for Back Her Business and prepare their business idea for crowdfunding, before starting to crowdfund on the site from 10th April.  The programme will be available through ulsterbankbackherbusiness.co.uk.
