BRYAN SOMERS TRAVEL – celebrating 30 years and counting

Bryan Somers was unable to find a travel agent to book a golf break back in 1987. Undeterred by this and in typical fashion he decided to set up his own company.

Less than two years later Linda Millar joined the company and quickly started to build up a client base as well as recruiting staff who matched the company ethos of service and knowledge.

In 2000 Jonathan Millar (now Linda’s husband , but not then) joined and brought his expertise gained in both the independent and multiple travel areas.

In 2006 the couple agreed an MBO with Bryan and have steadily built the business into one of the province’s foremost travel agents. With long haul travel and golf a major focus, the company also has its own tour operation arm, Ultimate Journeys and Bryan Somers Holidays to help make sure that they are able to bring the best travel options to the local market.

Linda is also the current Chairperson of Worldchoice NI and sits on the local ABTA committee, ensuring that she is always up to date with the current travel happenings.

Every member of the team has at least 20 years experience and travel regular to exciting destinations. This year alone Linda has been to Norway to see the Northern Lights, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Australia, Portugal, Abu Dhabi and Monte Carlo.
