The RNLI is the charity that saves life at sea. We provide, on call, a 24-hour lifeboat search and rescue service around the coast of Northern Ireland and a seasonal lifeguard service. RNLI lifeboats in Northern Ireland launch close to 300 times each year and bring hundreds of people to safety, while the charity’s lifeguards help over 200 people each year on the 10 lifeguarded beaches around our coast.

The RNLI is a charity – 95% of our total income comes from donations. We are separate from the Coastguard and independent of the Government so we couldn’t do what we do without the generosity and support of people like you.
Our brave volunteer RNLI lifeboat crews battle the harshest conditions at sea as they selflessly go to the aid of people in distress. Having the right kit can make the crucial difference between life and death for them and the people they save.
What we do is priceless but our kit has a cost. This year our annual fundraising campaign MAYDAY will raise funds to buy kit for the lifeboats stations around Northern Ireland.
The campaign is running 1st – 31st May 2017 and the fundraising possibilities are endless from a sponsored walk with friends and four legged friends to a creative dress down day ‘Wear Your Wellies to Work’; why not make it really special and award a prize to the most creative.
We have MAYDAY fundraising packs available which have posters, stickers, sponsorship forms, collection material and lots of helpful information to ensure your event is as fun as possible.
If you would like to receive a MAYDAY fundraising pack please email nicola_kelly@rnli.org.uk or telephone Nicola Kelly on 07557 458700 for more information.
Together we can save even more lives at sea.
