Wednesday 19 November 2025
Leading digital transformation company Fujitsu has been recognised for its outstanding commitment to workplace wellbeing at this year’s Belfast Telegraph IT Awards.
Fujitsu was awarded the ‘Excellence in Workplace Health and Wellbeing’ title which celebrates organisations that go above and beyond to support the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of their people. The award celebrates Fujitsu’s continued focus on championing an inclusive culture, evidence-based wellbeing initiatives, and long-term commitment to continuous improvement.
At the heart of Fujitsu’s wellbeing strategy is the ‘Take 5 Steps to Wellbeing’ framework with activities and events co-created with employees to ensure it reflects what truly matters to them. Through this approach, Fujitsu has achieved measurable impact including high levels of participation across wellbeing initiatives and strong employee satisfaction.
The judges recognised that the company’s approach integrates diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), and executive sponsorship, ensuring support for wellbeing is embedded at every level of the organisation. This combination creates a culture where people feel empowered, valued, and able to thrive both personally and professionally.
Claire McBride, Communications and Social Value Manager at Fujitsu Northern Ireland, said:
“We’re incredibly proud to receive this award as it reflects our belief that a thriving workplace starts with people who feel supported, valued and connected.
Our wellbeing strategy has been built with our employees to ensure activities and initiatives make a real difference day to day. From mental health and physical wellbeing to inclusion and volunteering, our focus is on enabling everyone at Fujitsu to bring their best selves to work.”
Fujitsu employs more than 600 people in Northern Ireland with team members also regularly supporting the community through food bank collections, clean-up events, charitable fundraising and engagement with local schools to support skills development.
