As the crisp days of Autumn begin to arrive, we are eagerly anticipating a brand new season of our Fabulous Fashion Teas, which take place on 24th and 25th October. Now in their ninth year, The Merchant Hotel’s Fabulous Fashion Teas have become an iconic fashion event in Belfast, showcasing the finest local fashions from a selection of hand-picked local designers and high-end boutiques.
Our AW15 season will kick off with a footwear extravaganza courtesy of Harper at The Merchant Hotel. Those coveted red soled Louboutins will be the highlight of our opening show, with a mix of classic shapes and fashion forward looks to include their enviable ombré style, ensuring that every fashionable lady puts their best foot forward.
Next to take to the catwalk on Saturday 24th October is The Walk In Wardrobe, a Banbridge-based ladieswear boutique, specialising in bespoke brands sourced internationally to bring you the perfect outfit for any special occasion. Closing the first afternoon of our Fabulous Fashion Teas will be Ruedi Maguire, who returns to this event with an array of timeless couture for SS16. Combining relaxed silhouettes with a palette of bright reds, pale pinks and classic black.
Sunday 24th October will see Chloe Dougan Designs making her Fabulous Fashion Teas debut with a striking autumn collection. Using lace, leather, crepe, suede and fur, she has created an eclectic mix, exploring the realms of fashion and sensuality to create an unmissable show for any fashion-forward woman.
With such a spectacular collection of local design, it seemed fitting that the Ulster University’s most recent fashion graduates should round off our Fabulous Fashion Teas. This is an incredible opportunity to take the first look at some of Northern Ireland’s freshest design talent before they embark on the world stage. With bespoke colour as a key trend, expect an array of bold shades and hues to explode onto our catwalk, bringing another season to an exceptional close.
Tickets to the show of your choice are £35 per person and include a glass of Moet et Chandon Champagne, our famous Afternoon Tea, a goodie bag and access to the pop-up boutiques of all featured retailers. Visit www.themerchanthotel.com for more information and to book your place.
