Tell us about your role and your organisation
I am an Executive Director at FinTrU in a senior leadership role, responsible for setting strategic direction, driving organisational outcomes and supporting people to do their best work. My position sits at the intersection of strategy, operations and culture, ensuring that long‑term ambition is matched with strong execution and values‑led leadership.
Give us a brief overview of your career journey so far
My career journey has been shaped by curiosity, adaptability and a willingness to step into opportunities that challenge and stretch me. I have worked across a range of roles that have allowed me to build strong commercial and leadership skills, learning as much from setbacks as from successes. Each stage has reinforced the importance of resilience, collaboration and continuous learning.
What is one skill that helps you most in your role and why?
Clear and empathetic communication is the skill that serves me best. Being able to listen, understand diverse perspectives and translate complexity into clarity is essential when leading teams, building trust and navigating change. It enables alignment, momentum and stronger decision‑making.
What advice do you have for women in your sector?
Back yourself - even when you don’t tick every box.
You don’t need all the answers to take the next step. Seek out mentors and peer networks, ask for support early and remember that confidence often follows action, not the other way around.
Are there any exciting plans in the year ahead?
This year is focused on strengthening foundations: refining strategy and continuing to evolve how we work to meet future demands. It’s an exciting phase of purposeful growth and positive momentum.
Who has been your biggest career inspiration and why?
I’m most inspired by leaders who lead with authenticity - those who pair strong commercial acumen with empathy, integrity and humility. Seeing leadership done well has shaped how I strive to show up for others.
Your soundtrack song to get you through the working day?
“Beautiful Day” – U2. It’s an energising reminder to keep perspective, stay optimistic and enjoy the journey.
How can our members best connect with you?
The best way to connect with me is via LinkedIn, where I enjoy engaging in conversations around leadership, growth and collaboration.
