Tell us about your role and your organisation
I’m a Level 7 Qualified Aesthetics Nurse Prescriber and the owner of SO Aesthetics NI, a discreet, appointment-only clinic.
Give us a brief overview of your career journey so far
I’m a registered nurse with 17+ years of experience, with a background in surgical nursing. I’ve worked in aesthetic medicine for over 3 years. I was a Clinical Sister at Antrim Area Hospital until 2024, when I left the NHS to pursue my goal of running my own clinic.
What is one skill that helps you most in your role and why?
Communication. It helps me build meaningful relationships, understand each patient’s aesthetic goals, and deliver results they’re delighted with.
What advice do you have for women in your industry?
Stay true to your values. Don’t add treatments just to make money—only offer what you genuinely believe in.
Are there any exciting plans in the year ahead for your organisation?
Yes—I'm passionate about menopausal health and plan to introduce services to support women during this stage.
Who has been your biggest career inspiration and why?
Phil Graham—he packs an incredible amount of wisdom into a young career and inspires me to think bigger.
If you had to pick your soundtrack song to get you through the working day, what would it be?
I love upbeat dance music—anything energetic keeps me going.
