I am excited to introduce myself and my business partner and long-time friend Vicki, as the business owners of KeepaBeat NI.

I am excited to introduce myself and my business partner and long-time friend Vicki, as the business owners of KeepaBeat NI.

Vicki is a mum of three (two boys, Alex and Adam and a fabulous little lady called Elsie), and I am a mum of one (a little girl called Kaílyn). It was whilst both of us were off on Maternity Leave that the opportunity to purchase KeepaBeat NI became available, and Vicki and I decided to purchase the business, which we bought in December 2018.

My previous experience lies within Retail Management and HR, while Vicki’s experience lies in Teaching, Engineering and Health and Safety (both in an industry and teaching context). We decided to gain a better work life balance by buying the business, and with the support of our family, we are getting ourselves out there and working our business around our family life.

This great opportunity has opened many doors already for us, through our hard work and networking, and for anyone that has met us, they are fully aware that we are a fun pair to be around…as some of our insta photos will show you!

We have certainly hit the ground running with our course delivery, delivering over 60 courses since the middle of January 2019. We are thoroughly enjoying our roles in our business, as we meet many new people, and we come home with the feel good factor, at having instilled confidence in parents, childminders, teachers, employees, and indeed to all our attendees, that they can step in and deliver first aid in an emergency.

KeepaBeat is a First Aid company, and is part of the WOW World Company, with sister companies including Hello Baby, Baby Sensory, Toddler Sensory, Reading Fairies and Mini Professors. We have just added Mental Health First Aid to the list of courses we deliver, and this is one we are also quite passionate about.

We are also the first company in Northern Ireland that will have a contract with Baby Box, and we aim to bring Baby Box into the province in the very near future.
