Julie Lilley Business Development Manager at Whitespace Design Consultancy Ltd.

Julie Lilley is the recently appointed Business Development Manager for Whitespace Design Consultancy Ltd. Julie helps businesses who want to renovate or create new workspaces throughout the UK and Ireland.

Before starting with Whitespace, Julie worked 7 years as manager within telecommunications and a design office. Having graduated from the University of Huddersfield with a BA(Hons) in Textile Crafts, interiors have always been the centre point of Julie’s expertise.

After a successful career helping one business start up a new flagship interior studio, Julie now advises businesses on how to specify furniture for offices spaces, healthcare, hospitality and educational environments.
“In todays working world there’s a higher demand on the hours we work. How many of us are guilty for traveling to and from work checking our work emails? I certainly am! That being said, the importance for a comfortable workspace is vital, I often refer to it as a healthy workplace. Drivers for employee wellbeing and flexible working options are increasing where we now see standing desks and working pods scattered throughout offices, it’s brilliant! Studies also show that making these small changes do actually improve productivity and reduce staff absences. If you’re a business owner now is the time to ask the question, or better yet, ask your employee’s how they feel within their workspace…”

When Julie is out of the office she loves walking around the Mourne Mountains and spending time with her two dogs, Molly and Holly.  Julie is looking forward to meeting as many women in business members before 2020.
