Louise McGill founder of Holiday Hotspot

Louise McGill, being a keen traveller, decided to embark on a degree in Travel and Tourism but identified quite early on that she enjoyed the practical element of travel and tourism rather than the study of it. So being impulsive, Louise left university (on the Friday) and went for an interview as a travel agent with Lunn Poly (on the Monday morning) and the rest is history.

 

Louise has now been in the industry for over 20 years and has worked with some of the larger players in the world of travel and tourism to include Co-Operative Travel and then Thomas Cook. However, it came as a big shock to Louise and her colleagues when Thomas Cook ceases trading on 23^rd September 2019, thus making them all redundant.

 

Being impulsive, Louise’s entrepreneurial spirit kicked in and having discussed starting the business with a few of her closest colleagues, she decided to do it for herself and start the Holiday Hotspot.

 

Holiday Hotspot is a travel agent but with a difference.

They can tailor make any holiday to suit the client’s individual needs. “We are very competitive even in comparison to ‘book your own holiday’ options, as we have a wide network of suppliers, we are confident that we can get the best hotels, rooms, cruises & flights possible”.
