Since the 16th March, all Allstate NI employees have been working from home, the transition to remote working was a new concept for many teams across the company but everyone has adapted very well in this new way of working.

Since the 16th March, all Allstate NI employees have been working from home, the transition to remote working was a new concept for many teams across the company but everyone has adapted very well in this new way of working.
Despite the new way of working for the entire company, Allstate NI have had a successful few months when it comes to achievements and awards. Allstate NI were delighted to have been awarded Silver Status from Diversity Mark NI, making them the first company in Northern Ireland to receive this award. Awarded for their commitment in cultivating a culture of respect within the workplace, making it an inclusive and welcoming place to work.
The Allstate NI Information Security team picked up the Cyber Business of the Year award at the National Cyber Awards in September, triumphing against competition from large companies across the UK.
Allstate NI also won Digital DNA’s Workplace of the Year award and were named Responsible Business Champions by Business in The Community for ‘Wellbeing at Work’, ‘Responsible Digital Innovation’ and ‘School Engagement’. The most recent award success was Allstate NI’s Managing Director, John Healy OBE, winning the Institute of Directors, Director of the Year award for Inclusivity.
Allstate NI are pleased to be associated with the Cross-Border Worker Collation which was recently established to raise the issue of Republic of Ireland residents that work for a Northern based company not being able to work from home without facing extra tax liability.
To support local events and conferences, Allstate NI have been proud sponsors of key virtual events happening this year including, the Northern Ireland Developers Conference, Digital DNA, BelTech and the Derry City International Choir Festival.
Allstate NI’s number one priority is their employees, numerous departments have ensured that all employees are supported while working from home. Learning and Development is a key part of the culture and they have been busy hosting weekly ‘L&D TV’ sessions with guest speakers discussing resilience, communicating with impact and building your personal brand.
All training is available to all employees online now, with set classes and online portals available whenever employees need. The HR Health & Wellbeing team recently hosted a ‘Health & Wellbeing Festival’, with hundreds of employees taking part in sessions to help look after their physical, mental, financial and working health, sessions included virtual yoga, health checks and art classes.
