Here are a few of the questions I am asked most frequently:

Am I supposed to be eating 2000 calories per day?
Average intake on the LighterLife VLCD programme is around 530 calories per day and 800-1200 calories per day for those on our Lite programme. The recommended daily intake for a woman to maintain her weight is 2000 calories per day. In order to lose weight we need to reduce our calorie intake. LighterLife programmes allow clients to reduce their calorie intake safely to allow rapid, safe weight loss while giving them all the nutrients they need to ensure good health.

Do I have 3 meals per day on LighterLife?
How you choose to take your foodpacks is up to you. However, we recommend that you space them evenly throughout the day following structured meal times to get you in to good habits. Those on the LighterLife VLCD programme have 4 Foodpacks per day and on Lite it is 3 Foodpacks plus a meal. Therefore clients typically follow a pattern or breakfast, lunch and evening meal plus a snack.

How much water do I drink on LighterLife?
All human beings are different and what's right for one person might not be right for another. Therefore LighterLife do not recommend a specific amount of fluids that is right for everyone. What you need to remember is conventional food contains water and whilst abstaining from conventional food you may find that your body needs a little more fluid than you would normally drink to compensate. Listen to your body, it will tell you when you need a drink, so drink to thirst. Remember, large amounts
