Job Title: Membership Engagement Manager
Location: Arthur House, 41 Arthur Street, Belfast (hybrid working)
Salary band: £30,000-£40,000 (depending on experience)
Hours: Full time, 35 hours (part time considered)
Reporting to: Head of Membership

About Women in Business:
Established in 2002 Women in Business is the largest and fastest growing network for business women in Northern Ireland. We are a not-for-profit charity run by a voluntary Board of Directors and part of The WiB Group, including Diversity Mark, Timely Careers and the Centre of Learning. With a diverse membership spread across all industry sectors, including entrepreneurs and women working at every level within the public sector, third sector and corporate organisations, Women in Business has over 12000 members and is growing rapidly.

Role Overview
We are seeking a highly organised, motivated Membership Engagement Manager to join our growing team and lead engagement across both our Individual and Corporate Membership communities. Reporting to the Head of Membership, you will play a central role in delivering our engagement strategy, ensuring our members feel supported and valued and driving strong retention and sustainable growth.

This role requires someone who can act as a proactive self-starter to move projects forward with confidence. You will be an effective communicator with excellent presentation skills, able to engage a wide range of stakeholders and clearly articulate the value of Women in Business NI to current and prospective members.
As a solutions-focused thinker, you will bring fresh ideas to enhance how we engage with our members and continually improve their experience with Women in Business NI.

Key Responsibilities
Member engagement: Work closely with the Head of Membership to help deliver the Individual and Corporate engagement strategy, ensuring retention and growth of our membership.

Communications: Lead and deliver high-quality member communications and presentations that drive engagement and showcase best practice. Work in close partnership with the marketing team to ensure consistent, impactful messaging across all membership comms. As a key representative of Women in Business NI, you will confidently present to corporate partners, contribute to stakeholder meetings and leading membership retention and growth.

Events & Opportunities: Planning and delivering online and in-person events, workshops, and engagement activities as required. Attend and represent Women in Business at relevant external networking events.

About You
You are organised, creative and people-focused, with a genuine passion for purpose-driven work. You enjoy bringing fresh ideas to your projects, managing multiple priorities, and working independently as well as part of a team.
You are confident in public speaking and presenting to groups. You have experience using a CRM, are comfortable analysing data and providing actionable insights that inform strategy.
Essential Skills & Qualities:
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in a membership, operations or client-focused role, with a strong focus on engagement, retention and satisfaction.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and present effectively to stakeholders at all levels, including corporate partners and senior leaders.
  • Proactive self-starter with the ability to take ownership of projects, work independently and deliver measurable results.
  • Highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience using CRM systems to track engagement, analyse excel data, prepare reports and provide actionable insights.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, as travel across NI will be required.

Desirable:
  • Experience supporting marketing activities, including social media scheduling and content management.
  • Confident using digital design tools such as Canva.
  • Experience coordinating or leading events.
  • Training will be provided.
