AUTISM MATTERS in East Belfast with Spectra Sensory Clothing

As part of autism week, business woman Meta Auden Is delighted to be coming back to East Belfast’s Foundry “where it all began” to launch her business Spectra Sensory Clothing.

A client of East Belfast Enterprise and Women in Business’s Connect & Power of 4 Programmes, Meta has invested the last two years and family savings into her business & is now ready to bring sensory clothing to adults and children on the autism spectrum.

Mother of two, Meta has a daughter with ASD, (Autism spectrum disorder), and struggled when she was younger to find clothing that didn't irritate her daughter’s skin as children and adults on the ASD spectrum have sensitivity to labels and seams.
Now a client of Invest Northern Ireland she is working closely with the Belfast Met to develop soft seam clothing and school uniforms to make life for both parents and children easier.

“ At Spectra Sensory Clothing we are using our experience as carers of an Autistic child to develop a sensory clothing range to help improve the lives of children with Autism & Asperger’s”.

Recently Meta has invested in premises at East Belfast Enterprise’s Albertbridge Road site & Spectra’s official launch will take place at East Belfast’s Foundry, 68/72 Newtownards Road, Belfast on March 28th 2018 from 11.30 and 13.00 as part of World Autism Awareness Week (26 March - 2 April 2018)
