Discover Fresh Talent with the Graduate Boost Internship Programme

Do you have a project that could benefit from new perspectives and innovative thinking?

Ulster University is inviting employers to take part in the Graduate Boost Internship Programme. This exciting initiative connects you with recent graduates ready to inject fresh ideas, innovative ideas, research expertise, and creative energy into your team through a 15-week, part-funded internship commencing 9 February 2026.

Research indicates that graduates with disabilities encounter considerable barriers in obtaining graduate-level employment, and this initiative seeks to close that gap.

Why Get Involved?
  • Part-funded by the Department for the Economy - employers contribute £2,000 invoiced within the first two weeks.
  • Weekly bursary of £367 paid to interns, managed by Ulster University.
  • Each intern completes a postgraduate module in Demonstrating a Professional Identity, developing essential skills and professionalism.
  • Ongoing coaching and professional support for both employers and interns throughout the programme
  • Our team will provide advice and practical tools to help you adopt inclusive recruitment practices.

Key Dates
  • Open Graduate Application: 25 November – 5 January
  • Brokerage & Appointment Period: 12 January – 30 January
  • Employer Information Session: 3 February at 11.00am
  • Graduate Boost Internship: 9 February – 22 May

If your organisation has a project that could benefit from graduate input, please complete the Expression of Interest form to share your internship details. We will then make every effort to match suitable graduate candidates based on your organisation’s needs and required skills.

This is an excellent opportunity to strengthen your organisation’s talent pipeline while contributing meaningfully to graduate employability and inclusion.
