New mum Martina Byrne has set up her own business selling Usborne children's books. The award winning books suit all ages from tots to teens and has just released an exciting range for the festive season!

After the birth of her daughter, Martina began to miss the buzz and social aspect of her job but knew she wanted to be a stay–at–home mum and enjoy the first years with her baby. "Having always loved books I got some Usborne books as presents for the baby's first Christmas and fell in love with them. Then I saw a stand at a local craft fair and realised I could sell books and combine events and direct sales with being a mummy!".

Based in Hilltown outside Newry, the business trades under "Mourne Books" and Martina has enjoyed taking stands at local festivals through the summer. Along with events she is interested in working with mother & toddlers, nurseries, primary schools, community groups and building a customer base in the Newry and Mourne area of direct sales to book lovers buying for their family and friends.
