GRASP (Green Skills Accelerator Programme) Project
Tuesday 7 April 2026
The built environment is undergoing a massive transformation. As regulations tighten around Net Zero and digital workflows become the standard for winning and delivering contracts, organisations across the sector are facing a critical challenge: equipping their workforce with the skills needed to stay competitive. To meet this challenge head-on, we are proud to introduce the GRASP (Green Skills Accelerator Programme) Project. A fully funded project through PEACEPLUS.
The Big Picture: What is GRASP?
GRASP is a strategic, fully funded initiative designed to future-proof our regional workforce. By providing high-level training in sustainability, digital technologies, and leadership, the project aims to bridge the current skills gap, support local businesses in meeting stringent environmental targets, and build a robust, diverse pipeline of talent capable of leading the Green Economy.
The Women into Green Construction Academy
As a core pillar of the GRASP initiative, we are launching the Women into Green Construction Academy. This fully funded, 11-week programme is designed to turn foundational knowledge into immediate commercial value for your organisation.
Whether your female staff are currently on-site, in the office, or working in vital interfacing roles (such as Estates Management, Procurement, or Administration), this Academy provides a de-risked, strategic pathway to elevate their current expertise and accelerate their career trajectory.
By enrolling your team members, your organisation will benefit from:
- Regulatory & Digital Fluency: Staff will learn about the tools reshaping the industry, from demystifying BIM standards (ISO 19650) to practical 3D model coordination.
- Actionable Sustainability: Participants will earn their ISEP credentials, empowering them to turn corporate Net Zero targets into everyday, cost-saving habits.
- Enhanced Leadership: Through the ILM Level 3 Award, participants will acquire the skills to adapt their leadership style, motivate teams, and drive project productivity from the front.
- A Pathway to Technical Specialism: The Academy secures an early, accredited "win" for your staff, acting as a springboard toward advanced qualifications in areas such as Carbon Auditing and Lifecycle Costing.
I have attached our official brochure, which outlines the full curriculum, the digital masterclasses, and the logistical breakdown of the programme.
Please feel free to forward this to relevant line managers, HR partners, or team members who would benefit from stepping up into a green leadership role.
