Louise Kelly TEDX - Prepare to rethink what music really does for us! On Oct 18th, I fulfilled a long held ambition to step on the little red dot and deliver a TedX talk. what made this one extra special was that is was a womens only event and I got to stand beside 22 incredible ladies and share my story.
My title " Music isnt a luxury, its a biological necessity!" and it explores the power of music throughout the lifespan, and questions why when we reach adulthood, we get too busy to use music as the powerful connector it can be. get prepared to rethink what music really means!
My TedX talk just went live and I'd love to share it with you all. it explores the Powwr of Music and how we need it now more than ever to support each other

This talk takes you on a journey from the womb to old age, revealing how rhythms and sound shape our brains, bodies, and relationships at every stage of life. Prepare to rethink what music truly does for us.

For nearly 30 years, Louise Kelly has dedicated her career to one thing: human connection.
Her expertise lies in understanding how people relate, communicate, regulate, and show up—for themselves and each other.

What makes Louise different is how she does this.
She doesn’t just talk about connection.
She demonstrates it—through the universal language of music.

A Consultant Music Therapist and co-founder of Resilient Rhythms, Louise works across education, corporate settings, and community organisations, weaving music into environments where people often least expect it—but need it most. Her mission is simple: make music accessible and transformative in every event, office, or group setting, not as entertainment, but as a practical tool for wellbeing, communication, and cohesion.

She lectures at university level on creative, evidence-based approaches to teaching and learning, and her background asa a Consultant Music Therapist and expertise in neurodiversity allows her to bring a nuanced understanding of how different brains connect, process, and thrive.

Across the UK and Ireland, Louise is renowned for her warm, engaging, and uplifting speaking style—bringing audiences together, lowering defences, and showing people firsthand how rhythm and sound can shift a room, regulate a nervous system, and ignite a team.
