Northern Ireland Businessess urgue by the AICC to help shape the future of AI support
Thursday 29 October 2026
The Artificial Intelligence Collaboration Centre (AICC) is calling on organisations across Northern Ireland to help shape the future of AI support by sharing their experiences, challenges and priorities in a new regional survey.
AI is creating enormous opportunities for businesses, but turning that potential into real-world impact isn't always straightforward.
From skills shortages and data readiness to governance, technical expertise and knowing where to begin, organisations face different challenges when it comes to adopting AI effectively and responsibly.
The AICC's Regional AI Support Needs Survey aims to understand these challenges and identify what support organisations need most, whether they're already implementing AI or just starting to explore its potential.
The findings will help shape the AICC's future priorities while providing valuable insights to inform wider support, collaboration and strategic planning across Northern Ireland's AI ecosystem.
David Crozier CBE, Director of the AICC, said:
"We're seeing growing interest in AI across Northern Ireland, but interest alone doesn't translate into adoption. Organisations need the right skills, expertise and support to turn AI's potential into meaningful results.
"We want to hear directly from businesses and organisations about what's working, what's holding them back and what would make the biggest difference.
"This is an opportunity to help shape what comes next, not just for AICC, but for Northern Ireland's wider AI ecosystem. The more organisations we hear from, the better we can ensure future support reflects their real needs."

The survey explores AI adoption, skills, responsible AI, barriers to implementation and future support needs. Findings will help inform future business support, training, events, resources, regional engagement and research collaboration.
