Rodgers & Finney: Building a new business with a passion for property

Setting up a new business in an already competitive sector is a challenge, but for young entrepreneurs Natasha Rodgers and Kirsty Finney, it was the natural next step when they saw what they could bring to the property market.

Natasha and Kirsty are both still in their 20s, but together have years of experience in property sales and management. Earlier this year, their ambitions became reality when they opened up Belfast’s newest estate agents, Rodgers & Finney.

The first few weeks at their new premises in Ballyhackamore have been busier than Natasha could have hoped for: “Both Kirsty and I have worked for estate agents across Northern Ireland for the past decade and many ways some estate agents operate the same way they did 10 or 20 years ago. They haven’t adapted to the way people are live now, or how people buy and sell their homes.

“With Rodgers & Finney our aim is to shake things up and provide customers with a service that properly meets their needs, and is focused on making everything as easy as possible for them. This can often be as simple as being available for viewings at times that suit them, rather than very traditional office hours.”

As well as success in the new business, Kirsty Finney also won the Young Agent of the Year at the 2016 Belfast Telegraph Property News Awards. Kirsty is very keen that Rodgers & Finney build on these successes: “We have worked at successful businesses, and our clients know that we will deliver for them, whether it is selling homes in a new development, or finding them their dream home.
