The Social Experiment Gurus Get Set for Expedition
The concept is the idea of Digital Advertising NI founder Naomh McElhatton who will be joined by teams from various digital companies including The Web Bureau, The Digital Exchange and global social media companies.

Naomh said, “The social experiment is a race between the teams over the course of a weekend from the most northerly point on the island of Ireland to the most southerly point. The teams will set off on morning of Friday 26th April from Malin Head in County Donegal aiming to make it to Athlone by nightfall.

The following day the challengers will make Cork their next destination moving on to Mizen Head in County Cork on Sunday 28th April. The teams will be equipped with a head cam to record their journey, a survival pack to include a change of clothes, water, energy gels a smartphone and an iPad with charger. The candidates will make use of their social media fans and followers to obtain additional food, free taxi rides and bus passes or whatever it may take to get to their final destination”.

The social experiment aims to raise funds for Cancer Focus Northern Ireland. Emma McCann, Community Fundraising Officer, at Cancer Focus NI said, “This is such a fantastic and original idea and we are delighted to be the charity of choice for this innovative adventure, best of luck to all teams”.
