TRIPLE Celebration as Homecare Independent Living Wins Major Awards at Wembley Stadium
Homecare Independent Living has received three awards at the UK and Ireland’s biggest Family Business Awards, “The National Family Business Awards” at Wembley Stadium, London recently.  The first two national awards of the evening for Ireland (NI and ROI) were Best Business to Work for and the Big Heart award.

Speaking at the awards, CEO Mairead Mackle said “The Best Business to Work for award is a testament to the passion, commitment and dedication of every member of the HCIL team in making the company a great place to work; the exceptional work our team do every day and the difference they make to the lives of those living in our local communities through domiciliary, housing and support services.  I proudly accept this award on behalf of the entire HCIL team.”

She added, “The Big Heart award celebrates the amazing work of iCare.  Since its inception in 2010, iCare led by a dedicated HCIL staff committee and 300 local volunteers has delivered over 300 iCare Wishes across Ireland and has raised £300,000.  iCare celebrates limitless kindness and is committed to building stronger communities.  This award is a huge thank you to everyone involved with iCare.”

The third award of the evening was a once off Special Recognition Award for the whole of UK and Ireland presented to CEO Mairead Mackle in celebration of her commitment to family business over the last 23 years, the amazing work of HCIL and iCare in making a real difference to the lives of our most vulnerable, in the work HCIL and iCare does to build stronger communities and in its vision for the future.

Since its inception in 1995, HCIL has grown to a team of 1,200, who in turn deliver 6,000 calls every day to people living independently in their own homes and over 2,000 beds every night for those at risk of homelessness. The vast geographic outreach of HCIL, coupled with the passionate and professional attitudes of every team member, positively impacts communities across the country.

Adding to its prestigious industry accolades, HCIL was awarded the Building Stronger Communities Award at the Business in the Community Responsible Business Awards earlier this year.
