My name is Marie Wells and I have been the Instructor for the Antrim Study Centre since we opened in 2012. I am a committed lifelong learner and passionate about education and learning. Being a Kumon Instructor enables me to utilise all my skills and experiences through my passion for learning so that I can help children to develop a love for learning, as I do.

My name is Marie Wells and I have been the Instructor for the Antrim Study Centre since we opened in 2012.

I am a committed lifelong learner and passionate about education and learning. Being a Kumon Instructor enables me to utilise all my skills and experiences through my passion for learning so that I can help children to develop a love for learning, as I do.

The Kumon maths and English study programmes enable students of all ages and abilities to achieve. Our aim is for each and every child to become an independent, advanced learner, with a positive attitude to study.

The unique Kumon programmes pursue the potential of each child, developing their ability and nurturing their independence. Following a free assessment each child begins the programme at an individually set starting point, laying a solid foundation for effective learning. Their progress through the programmes is tailored to their individual needs, ensuring that each child continues to grow and achieve.

As a Kumon student, children develop invaluable study skills and build in confidence as they become an independent learner. Through daily study of the unique Kumon worksheets, your child will strive towards studying above the international standard for their age, enabling them to realise their potential both at school and beyond. In addition to studying an appropriate amount of work at home on a daily basis, students also attend the study centre at least once a week.

Kumon's long-term focus provides children with the self-assurance to take their learning into their own hands, increasing their motivation to succeed.

I am a firm believer that there is untapped potential in all of us and all we need are the skills to enable us to realise this potential. Every child learns differently and is faced with their own personal challenges and Kumon offers an individualised learning programme tailored to each child's ability. The need for strong core skills, is necessary to help children to develop into confident self-learners. Kumon helps each child, to develop their self-learning skills and a healthy attitude to study and learning through the medium of the Kumon English and/or maths programmes.

The most rewarding aspect of my role as an Instructor is being involved in helping the children develop in both confidence and ability. Our students' achievements mean everything to us at Kumon Antrim and we take great pride in being instrumental in helping each and every child succeed. No matter what age or what their current ability, following a Kumon programme will yield results.
